Fool Proof Guide to Getting Your Man to Wear a Condom

Using condoms has now been part of the norm when it comes to having safe sex. Whether a couple is married or simply not yet ready to accept the responsibility of caring for a little one, the use of condoms has been one of the highly recommended contraceptive methods nowadays. It isn't only the risk of having sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) that are being prevented but it also serves as a form of birth control. Women who carry out most of the burden of unwanted pregnancy due to unsafe intercourse should then encourage their partner to use one.
There are many websites that sell condoms online, each with different flavors and promise of pleasure. Choosing the best condom therefore can be kind of hard, but what is even harder is how to get the guys to say yes and actually use it. Here are some developments made in terms of marketing and product improvement itself to finally convince your man to wear one.

Marketing Efforts
Many condom brand makers have been trying their best to make the use of their products to become more appealing. Some of them even stated that they are trying to make the experience become better with it than without it, if such a thing is possible. In order to attract a wide range of audiences, especially the youth who are more sexually active and need to act responsibly, they have developed many types of flavored condoms that would suit one's personal and cultural interests. They are even trying to make cheap condoms by changing the material to make it even more affordable without sacrificing the quality.

Scientific Approach
There is no better way to prove if something works than have someone try it. Thus, there have been some condom producing companies that look for volunteers who are willing to have sex for science. They are required to test the products at least several times to ensure that it does work. Aside from the result of having a product that sells in the market, it is also being used as basis for Family Health Councils and centers that teach and promote safe sex.

Personal Approach
Couples are invited to participate in encouraging fellow couples in using condoms. Some have testified that even though it can be quite stressful especially when they are in the midst of their libido, they did find the short pause to look for a condom to be quite sexy. It becomes a fun and short pause that they have come to learn as essential in order to prevent any chance of contracting diseases and to prevent any unwanted pregnancy in the future. It is a responsible yet fun way of having the best of both worlds.

Birth Control Methods for Men

Conventionally, the birth control methods for the males included condoms and vasectomies. However, recently, birth control shots for male contraception have been designed. This is because the procedure of vasectomy is not accurate completely. It is not totally foolproof. There are higher chances of being infertile for the rest of the life for a man. Therefore, the pharmaceutical companies are looking forward to developing pills or hormonal inhibitors which appear as more lucrative options for male birth control methods.

The male contraceptive injections
One of the most recent concepts introduced in the United States is that of the male contraceptive injections. The idea was visualised by an Indian scientist. It consists of an injection which reduces the sperm count and disables the spermatozoa which traverses through the sperm pathways. Actually, the injections comprise of a number of chemicals which formulate gels against the sperms. The life of this gel is between 10 to 15 years. Thus, once injected, the injection solution remains viable for a long time. So far, the results have been 100% effective.
For over a decade now, this male pregnancy shot is on trial in India. Now, the project has been kick started in the United States as well. Initially, the sperm stunting potential of the injection was considered as a toxic side-effect but when experimented by laboratories, the idea appears lucrative enough.

Why is it not popular with pharmaceuticals?
The injection does not have any potential financial benefits. This is because the solution remains viable for a long time interval thereby eliminating the need for any other contraceptive methods such as condoms.
However, similar to the other contraceptive options, these injections also do not offer any protection against STDs. These are ideal for couples who do not want a baby in the near future.
There are other methods which are still under development.

These comprise the following:
· Implanting minute plugs known as Intra Vas Devices, IVD which block the sperms. This method of sperm control is similar to vasectomy only there is no operation. Instead of cutting the vas deferens, the tube is plugged. This stops the sperm flow. However, research is still going on whether men will be able to impregnate their partners once the plugs are removed.
· Application of heat to testes which induces infertility.
· Using ultrasound waves to bar the sperm production.
But these methods still raise the question of how long will the procedures last questioning the economic viability of the methods.

The Dummy Guide to Using Condoms Rightly

Teenage pregnancy is quite an alarming and disturbing issue in society nowadays. Not only married couples but anyone who is sexually active need to be properly informed and educated on how to prevent unwanted pregnancy to decrease the rate of abortion and of one's future being left to tatters. When asked about birth control methods, surprisingly there are not much people who know about condoms, pills and other methods and tools for safe sex.

Most men think that they know how to use a condom, but there is more to it than just rolling it in and giving it a boom. It's not just about having the cheapest condom or knowing what is actually the best condom in the market. As a matter of fact, improper use of such can actually lead to the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and even unwanted pregnancy.
With the changing trend in economy, most people can just buy condoms online. There is no need to physically go to the store, which is quite an embarrassing experience for some, especially to those that are in their teens. Here are some helpful guidelines on how to use the condom properly and use it to its maximum capability:

1) When opening a condom from the packet, open it through the zigzag part using your hands. Using scissors or teeth may rip the condom and might cause you implications in the future.

2) Store condoms on a dry temperature room only. Do not store it somewhere that is too cold. Extreme humidity can actually damage latex condoms.

3) Never forget to check out the expiration dates. Do not attempt to use one that is already expired. Best to discard it at once than risk suffering later in life.

4) When switching from one activity to another (e.g. vaginal to anal), make sure to use another condom to prevent the spread of infections and E. coli.
5) Do not use condoms that are either too loose or too tight. It might tear or slip off when inside the partner's genitals.

6) Contrary to popular belief, using oil and lubricant on a condom is not a good idea. It might compromise the material so it's best to use it as it is.
7) Never reuse condoms. Even if it seems that there is no body fluids left inside the condom, discard it and just use a new one.
8) Never skip using a condom, unless you are in a monogamous and committed relationship and is looking forward to having a baby.

It is better to be safe than be sorry in the future. If you will engage in sexual intercourse, then you must be responsible enough to care for you and your partner's health as well as his/her future.

How to Have Sex Talk" With the Kids

Most teens nowadays are very active when it comes to their sexual life. Most parents who are concerned with their children would love to educate them as much as they can, but some still feel a little shy and uncomfortable discussing safe sex with their teens.
Just the thought of their children growing old enough to use birth control  can be a scary thought as it is a realization that their little boy or girl is really growing up. Still, it is vital for parents to talk to their children so that they will be properly guided and not suffer unwanted pregnancy or get sexually transmitted diseases.
Here is a simple guide for parents out there who have no idea how to initiate the "sex talk" with their kids. Remember that this is a means of protecting them from making reckless decisions when it comes to relationships, sex, and condoms.
First off, parents should not assume that their kids just buy condoms online or that they have latex condoms sitting comfortably in their purse of pockets. Be the first one to educate them as hearing it from somewhere else wherein information might not be accurate could lead to unsafe practices.
When you prepare yourself to have the talk about helping your child to choose the best birth control up to the point of selecting the best condoms in the market, make sure that you have chosen the perfect time to do so. The topic can also make teens uncomfortable, especially discussing it with their parents. Wait for the time where you are both calm. Start off by having open line communication about everyday happenings so the teenager will feel it much easier to talk about bigger issues such as sex. You may read some lecture material but do not lecture and just ease it into the conversation. There are centers you can approach that can also lecture you about using condoms and other birth control methods.
After choosing the perfect time, ask for a private conversation. Do it over lunch outside or somewhere far away from the rest of the family. Share to the child your point of view when it comes to sexual activity. You may give him advice on abstinence but also the option that if he chose to be sexually active, there are birth control methods available. This talk should also be done with girls, so that they are not left unprotected when the male partner forgets to bring a pack. Girls should know where to buy condoms and how to use them too.
Always be supportive of your child's decisions. Remind yourself that you have raised a responsible individual so give yourself some praise and give him the benefit of the doubt.

Protect Yourself Against HIV

Society has been taking a shift lately to having a healthier lifestyle. Aside from changing their eating and drinking habits, most people also have taken on regularly exercising and getting involved on various health programs. Part of being healthy also includes caring for sexual health. Thus, many people have been conscious about choosing the best birth control in order to ensure safe sex. With the help of birth control methods, unwanted pregnancy is prevented as well as the spread of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) which eventually causes AIDS.

What is HIV?
HIV is a small and fragile virus that does not survive outside the body. This is commonly transmitted through bodily fluids such as semen, blood or vaginal secretions. It can enter the body through sexual intercourse.

Universal Protection

For individuals who are sexually active or couples who are not yet ready to have children, the best form of protection is through latex condoms. For those who are shy to buy it personally on stores, it is now possible to buy condoms online, for more privacy. Condoms are a great protection since the virus cannot penetrate its latex barrier. Using condoms then is highly recommended for people who have high regards with their health.
Many health centers and school facilities even have programs that educate youth and couples alike on how to use a condom properly. Aside from that, they are even informed of various birth control methods that they may wish to use, depending on their preference.
In order to look for the best condom, one must look for the durability of the material as well as its ability to live up to its promise of sensation. Nowadays, there are many condom brands that have various flavored condoms, and there are even those that offer various types such as dotted, tornado, whirlwind, etc. The advancement of science and marketing has made it possible to come up with such variation of condoms. There are cheap condoms and some super expensive ones, but the only people that can determine which is the best condom for you and your partner is just the two of you.
If you have unprotected intercourse, it is best to get tested for possibility of HIV. Some don't get to realize it until it is far too late. People between ages 15-65 who are sexually active are therefore highly encouraged to visit testing centers to avoid the further spread of the disease. If you or your partner has tested positive, it is best to use a condom for every intercourse to prevent the partner from being affected.

Allergies and Types

Allergies and/or 'hypersensitivities' are overreactions of the immune system.

These overreactions are particular to substances in some people. There are four groups of Hypersensitivities.

The classifications are based on what parts of the immune system are activated, as well as how long it takes for a reaction to occur. In type I hypersensitivity, a particular foreign substance, 'allergen', and reacts with a specific type of antibody called immunoglobulin E - this reaction causes symptoms that will appear within minutes. In type IV hypersensitivity, the allergen reacts with a specialized type of cell called a T-lymphocyte. The reaction time of type IV is quite long it hours or days until any symptoms appear.

Type I allergic reactions can be inconstant in severity, it might appear different from time to time, causing a rash the first time and anaphylaxis the next. Type I allergies can be related to just about anything: foods, plants, insect venoms, animal dander, dust mites, mould spores, occupational substances (for example latex), as well as drugs and penicillin. There can also be cross-reactions, where someone allergic to grass pollen, for instance, may also react to melons and tomatoes. The most common food-related causes of severe anaphylactic reactions are peanuts, tree nuts, and shellfish.

Type IV delayed hypersensitivity reactions are most often skin reactions. Common examples include reactions to metal and jewelry. They occur when an allergen interacts with specific T lymphocytes. Type IV hypersensitivity is usually a reaction (redness, swelling, hardening of the skin, rash, dermatitis) observed at the exposure site hours to days after exposure.

Type I acute allergic reaction can cause a rash, dermatitis, and itching, while in the long term the allergy may cause atopic dermatitis and eczema. In the respiratory tract, the acute reaction causes coughing, nasal congestion, sneezing, throat tightness. This can in long term led to asthma. It can also cause red itchy eyes. Acute allergic reactions in the gastrointestinal system start in the mouth with swelling of the tongue and throat, followed by abdominal pain, muscle spasms, vomiting and diarrhea.
Any severe acute allergic reaction can be potentially life threatening, causing anaphylaxis, a reaction spread throughout the entire body that can start with agitation, a 'feeling of impending doom' pale skin (due to low blood pressure), and/or loss of consciousness (fainting). Anaphylaxis can be fatal without the rapid administration of an adrenaline or cortisone injection.
The best treatment for allergy is to be cautious and keep away from the substances that trigger your allergy. Allergies are unpredictable and might go away after a couple of years but they might as well stay with you forever.
If you fear an allergy it is of high importance to take a test and determine what substances you are hypersensitive to.

About Peanut Allergies

Peanut allergies is very common. Its prevalence rate is 0.6% (1.8 billion people) in the United States. Although this allergy can occur at any stage, it mainly appears in the early years of life. While allergies to milk or eggs disappear when a kid enters adulthood, peanut allergies stay with a person throughout his/her entire lifetime.

is it not  better to know everything about peanut allergies before it's too late?

What are the Basic Symptoms?
The most common symptoms of peanut allergies are:
  • Loss of consciousness or Dizziness
  • Diarrhea or Stomach cramps
  • Wheezing or Coughing
  • Swelling in the throat, tongue or mouth
  • New rash, Eczema or Hives
What are the Common Causes?
Peanut allergies can appear in three different ways. These ways are:
  • Inhalation: A reaction can take place if an affected person inhales aerosol or dust that has peanut-oil cooking spray or peanut flour.
  • Cross Contact: This can happen when there is an unintentional introduction of peanuts into a product. A popular example is eating a food product that got exposed to peanuts during the processing or handling process.
  • Direct Contact: The most common cause is eating peanuts or peanut-based products. Moreover, recent researches also show that skin contact with peanuts can also give rise to this allergy.
Best Ways to Avoid Peanut Allergies

#1.Prevent Exposure at Home: Home is the best place to begin the prevention procedure. If you have an affected person at home, make sure that you use peanut-free cookware and utensils while cooking his or her foods. You also need to use proper towels and wash your hands before cooking.

#2.Stay Prepared when Outside: You need to carry an epinephrine pen and the emergency contact information. You can also download special software like the allergy EHR software on your Smartphone. If you and the affected person are eating in a restaurant, make it a point to alert the servers and the chefs.

#3.Make Safer Food Choices: You need to read the labels of food products you are buying to make sure that they do not contain peanuts. Instead of peanut butter, you can use soy butter or sunflower butter. Instead of peanut oil, you can use vegetable oil or canola oil when frying foods.

Conclusively, If you take good care of yourself or the affected person, peanut allergies cannot bother a healthy lifestyle. So you need to remember all the points mentioned above, and stay strong and disciplined.

Weather Changes - A major Cause For Allergy Flare-Up

An allergic reaction is an immune response to any foreign object the body views as a threat. Many people suffer chronic allergies and a vast majority of them swear that the weather plays spoilsport in their lives.

A slight change in climate activates a dormant allergen and within moments they are seen sneezing, coughing, wheezing, itching, vomiting or battling severe cramps. The article explains "why" and "how" changing weather patterns affect our health.
Cold Climate
With the onset of the winter season, the image of people coughing uncontrollably, sneezing and tending to a runny nose is a common one. We often mistake the flu-like symptoms to be a cause of cold weather. However, in most cases, it is an allergic reaction to dust. Dust particles attract pollen, mites, insects and mold. It causes allergic symptoms such as coughing, sneezing and itchy skin. If you stay indoors for long periods of time, you continue to expose yourself to the allergy-causing dust particles and hence feel sick and lethargic.
Many insects such as ladybirds and bugs enter houses to seek shelter from the chilly climate. The fluids they release cause allergic reactions in humans.

Warm Temperature
Warm climate is no lesser a culprit than a dip in temperatures. Increased humidity is the cause of summer allergies. As temperatures rise, the capacity of air to hold moisture also increases. A rise in the relative humidity impacts indoor air quality.

Warm temperatures coupled with damp conditions create a perfect breeding ground for mold and other disease-causing bacteria. It also grows in homes where there is a lot of darkness and improper ventilation. Mold is one of the factors responsible for allergies. High home humidity results in chronic cough, chest tightness, shortness of breath and wheezing. There are different indicators of high moisture levels in the house. These include damp spots on ceilings, peeling wall paint, condensation on water pipes, mold growth, wood decay and bad, musty odor.

Spring is another season that brings in warm temperatures. The abundance of flowers increases the amount of airborne pollen. The weather related triggers - mold and pollen also worsen asthma. Asthma sufferers report that their symptoms exacerbate during thunderstorms.

Measures to Minimize Adverse Allergy Symptoms
One can take certain precautions to prevent the onset of or lessen the severity of symptoms. You should keep a record of the substance you are allergic to. It will help you determine if you are sensitive to weather changes or environmental allergens triggered by inclement weather. You should visit your doctor.
He will guide you on how to manage allergic reactions and symptoms.

Read the weather forecast daily.
Humidity trapped in the walls and other dark recess can also result in damage to your home.
Different methods to decrease humidity if the heating and air-conditioning ventilation is not available. This includes improving home ventilation. Open the windows to allow the air to circulate.
Use exhaust fans in high moisture areas such as kitchens and bathrooms.
Avoid hanging or drying wet clothes in the house.
Hang them in an open space such as a balcony or on the terrace. One can use swamp coolers and dehumidifiers to decrease the amount of moisture in the air.

Ways Of Treating Allergies

According to research findings, the number of people suffering from allergies are on the rise, with half of the number affected being children. The most common allergies are associated with pollen, pets (such as dogs & cats), mould, house dust mites, bees & wasps, foods (such as peanuts, milk & eggs) and industrial & household chemicals. They are also reported cases of people being allergic to fruits, metals (such as iron and nickel jewelry), rubber and medication (such as penicillin). The common allergy symptoms include sneezing, itchy eyes, itchy skin rashes, running nose, coughing and wheezing.

Ways to Treat Allergies

Allergic reactions can be mild, moderate or severe, and in some unique cases, they can be life threatening (anaphylaxis), requiring prompt medical treatment. Some allergic symptoms, such as hay fever, asthma, eczema, allergic rhinitis, allergic eye disease and urticaria are in fact illnesses. Before taking an over-the-counter allergy drug to treat your condition, it is advisable to check with your doctor. This will help to avoid any drug interactions.

When you visit you doctor he/she will be able to pinpoint the exact trigger for your allergies. This will help a great deal in avoiding the triggers. In addition, the doctor will recommend a more targeted remedy for treating allergies. The doctor can also recommend some natural ways of treating your allergy, including:

· Keep windows/door closed
Pollen is a major cause of allergies. Therefore, it is important to minimize the pollen indoors by keeping the windows and doors closed. In addition, clothes which are covered with pollen should be left outside. Taking a shower after coming from the outdoors can also help. Furthermore, it is advisable to consider washing your towels, bedroom sheets and blankets regularly, in hot water. This can help a great deal in reducing dust mites and pollen in the home.

· Invest in a good vacuum cleaner
You may also consider investing in a high-efficiency particulate air filter for your vacuum. This will help to get rid of any allergens trapped in the carpet.

· Take enough rest
Fatigue often provides additional stress to the body and thus undermines the healing abilities derived from sleep. Therefore, it is important to get 6-8 hours of good night. This can help a great deal in giving your body rest to repair itself after a long, active day.

Eat and Stay Healthy
It is equally important to eat a healthy, balanced dish. A good diet will help to strengthen your immune system for purposes of contending with allergens.
